I am back in NYC. Back to work, back to what I think is normal. However, I know at home my mom probably feels as empty as her house is. My sister had to return to California right after I left for NY. I am sad that she won’t have my brother around. Today I received an email from one of his friends I’m happy that he emailed. I mean, just having people around me who remember him until the day he died just keeps his memory alive because we can talk about it and it’s ok.

Everyone is supportive here and someone told me today that her brother died 9 years ago and she is still dealing with it. I think we are now bonded by that. I will always miss my brother.

Also because I can’t seem to transition from talking about life to design I decided to start a new blog under a subdomain. It’s called Design Lady NYC, “Lady Jerlyn Thomas blogs about design on and offline.” I did this to separate my life from my Career.
