I had an incredible vacation. Normally I don’t get those where I just rest and this is what I got. It was very fun and relaxing. This is the first time that i had return to the island since my brother died.

I didn’t have the guts to go to his gravesite and hopefully I will be able to god-willing next year. However it was a completely different feeling when I got home. I spent a day with mom and I hung out mostly with Franky, a pal from high school. We had good times. I definitely got to soak in the wonderful body of water called the Caribbean sea.

I got a great deal of souvenirs also for some lucky people haha. Not to mention, I got a box of Cruzan Rum.

I am now on my way back to NYC. Sometimes I hate flying. I don’t mind the airplane experience – more like the process of lines. I truly hate those. I loath checking in through lines, going through customs through lines, walking into the plane through lines, etc. and I always seem to almost misplace my boarding passes so, I get anxiety when I travel. It’s funny to me because I’d truly believe that the air experience would be scarier. The great thing is, I had the best landing ever when I arrived in Puerto Rico – on our way here. I barely felt it.

The best parts of being on St. Croix was the small things that I did that I normally took for granted when I lived here. For example, I watched the sunrise and sunset off the crystal magnitude that we call the Ocean (or sea rather). I realize how incrediby blessed I was to have grown up here and I acknowledge the envy of people who have grown up in the mainland or parts of the world where they can’t experience the same.

On my agenda, I also met my new sister. She was a cute bubbly 5 month old. We spent a few moments together – I am so not ready for children haha. My dad was his usual self and maybe a little more relaxed and accepting. I am surprise that he didn’t say anything about my tongue ring or my lip ring.

I also got bitten by Mosquitos. They left really red pimples all over my legs and they are truly uncomfortable – this is what I do not miss about living here.

I also ate the biggest medium-rare burger and it was amazingly delicious.

I also spoke to people and gathered info for my book it’s going to be funny if I pull it off right. This sport of dating is laughable (oh yah I didn’t find any cute men in speedos I did stop traffic with my bikini however). Maybe that’s why there’s so many mosquito bites. I also got attacked by sandflies.

I also went to the casino where I discovered the drink: Pleasure Spot which includes banana, coconut and pineapple rum (I could be wrong) and a splash of pineapple juice. We got that for free as long as we were playing and my game of choice was Black Jack.

These are called sex with an alligator.

I also ended up at a club scene where I saw my mom dancing haha – it’s funny seeing your mom party. Oh well, she does look good for her age.

I can’t believe that I am leaving 80 degree weather to go back to 40 degrees. Well, I am sunbathed and ready to head back to my faster-paced life. I always miss the warm water.

Ugh now that I am on the plane, some guy is next to me and taking up quite abit of space with his arms. OMG. By the day, did you know that the word, “Meh” has been added to the British dictionary and “frienemy” almost did? Amazing.

Blogged from my iPod Touch.
