Maybe you’ve been following me on twitter but for the past few days I’ve been incredibly happy.

I love being happy. It’s just a great feeling that I think everyone should have. No matter where you are located, no matter what situation you’re in. I agree that’s all relative but happiness should be experienced by everyone and I hope that it reaches you continually throughout this year. I hope it does for me as well.

Optimists have twice as many good days as pessimists; so be an optimist.” I got this from my “Life’s Little Instruction Calendar” by H. Jackson Brown, Jr.

It made me reflect on these past days that I had. It’s taking my life in a new direction. A direction that I believe that I will feel positive about continually because so far it has been amazing. I am leaving a great deal of 2008 behind me as I move forward. Yes including the mourning of my brother, that has been the worst tragedy in my life and everyone will hear me speak of it continually but despite this, I have to live on.

My trip has made me a new person, I do hope that I found what I wanted 100%. Only time will tell – however I had a great time and I loved every minute of it. Except a little past 4PM when I had to start making my way back to my city of residence. From the toast at midnight that started this year, 2009, to the moment that I landed back in JFK.

Waiting at the airport

SIDETRACK: Yea I forgot to tell you how miserable I was on the way to DC. The flight was supposed to take off at 5:30 and we didn’t end up leaving until around after 9PM. The plane had an auxiliary power problem (supposedly) so they had to see if they could fix it. Then we had to switch a plane when they found out that it couldn’t be fixed, then that particular plane had a problem as well, it needed to be restarted (powered off and powered on). Then they had to defrost it since it had been parked all day. Then we had to wait in airline traffic. So I guess 2008 was trying to start me off badly again.

THE TRIP: I finally arrived and had a quick dinner with “him” before we decided what our plans were for midnight. I settled with toasting to us – starting anew. I felt like I liked him forever. Just felt right, we kissed.

The following days, we did different things like: Cooked together, went sightseeing, went to the bookstore, went to wineries – even worked out together.

It’s funny the things that I missed from my past relationships. I seem to have it here again. I won’t lie when I say I do hope he is the one. It’s just something great about two people who aren’t into wasting each other’s time and found out what they want essentially. I have a good feeling about it.
