I checked out some really great artists for some inspiration over the weekend. Hopefully you will find some in them as well. They are in no particular order. They have different styles and they all had elements that I appreciate. I wrote some of the reasons why I liked them and some blurbs about the artists.

I love the vibrant colors in this piece. This artist’s illustrations are comprised of very organic shapes. I love the characters and line strokes in many of the pieces. Coming from Paris France.

Her details are impeccable! She’s a definite must see and you should bookmark. She has a masters of arts from the Academy of arts Arnhem. She used to be a fashion designer but she moved on. Check her myspace page here and how fun it is that she lives in Amsterdam :-).

This reminded me of my foundations class where we had to create expression drawings. Claire Scully graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2006 (MA in  Communication Design) & in 2004 from London College of Communication (BA honours in Graphic and Media design/Illustration). She also has a store and blog that you need to check out.

Kike Besada is an Art Director and has worked for brands such as Diesel, Nokia, Absolut, Mercedes, etc. I love the visual representation in his work.

Ronlew Horn (name derived from Aaron Lewis Scamihorn) – he works at Media Sauce and has some incredible pieces in his illustration blog section.

“A. Andrew Gonzalez, of San Antonio, Texas, is an award-winning figurative artist whose work has been exhibited in several countries.” I love the motion in some of his work his sketches are just as amazing.

I hope you like these artists, if you know of any others that I can gather inspiration from this weekend, please let me know :-).
