I’d have to say my Valentine’s Day usually go well, well I don’t remember any year that went horribly wrong. Yesterday was as perfect.

The thing is, I tend to dread that day anyway. I think I might have to admit that I get as stressed out as my guy friends would. It’s definitely a holiday for women and when that time comes around I think whoever I’m with feels the added pressure even if I’m a very simple person.

I think Valentine’s Day should be just a day to spend with your significant other, we can exclude the flowers and the chocolate. I just like spending the time that we can because we are usually so busy. I’d rather staying in, cooking together, watching a movie and just talking.

I was lucky enough to spend my day with my best friend.

Yesterday I actually decided to reward myself (because I’m making 25 this week and I expected to just spend Valentines Day indoors) by purchasing an Android phone. I didn’t expect anything. However, my friend called and asked to watch the Valentine’s Day movie with him. I got home to get ready (and charge my new phone abit) and infront of my doorstep was a gorgeous bouquette of flowers.

I was just grinning from ear to ear (I’m such a girl) and he signed it with his middle name (sneaky) and he tried to deny it.

I was late to the Valentine’s Day movie but we made the other showing and it was good. I’m surprised that Rotten Tomatoes gave it 16%. I guess it might have been good because of the company.

After the movie, we went to Havana Central which had prix fixe menus then ended the night with a comedy show at Ha! Comedy Club.

Then we parted ways at the end of the night.

That was Valentine’s Day, it went exceptionally well. I didn’t expect it to go that way.

(Flowers today :-)).

So how did you spend your Valentine’s Day?
