This entry is in memory of the 2,996+ people who lost their lives today 9 years ago.

May we realize how short life is and appreciate those around us who can be taken away from us when we least expect it. May we also realize that everyone’s heart isn’t always pure — however, let us not live in fear.

On September 11th, 2001 I was in High School in the Virgin Islands attending my U. S. History Class. As the day continued we saw the impact of the event on NYC and the rest of the country. Other countries sympathized with us. I wasn’t able to visit ground zero until months later. It had an eerie feeling then and it still lingers now.

God bless our country for this is a day that we most likely will never forget.
